Job Description


  • Position: Director – Business Development, Netlabs Global IT Services LLC, US
  • No. of Positions: 1
  • Reporting To: CEO / President & COO, Netlabs Global Group
  • Base Location: WFH
  • Role Type: Hunting (90%, new business/accounts), Farming (10%, will manage existing accounts & partnerships in the US)
  • Compensation: Fixed + Variable/Commission model (as per industry standards and market conditions)

Profile Requirement

  • 12 – 15 years of IT solutions and services overall experience, of which 8 – 10 years should be in the US
  • Ideally should have worked in the US market for an Indian-origin IT services company or an IT Services MNC with a strong India offshore orientation
  • CXO level selling experience to US Mid-Market companies (US$ 500M to US$ 3B revenues) in a solution selling model
  • Should have sold and managed contracts in the range of US$ 100K – US$ 10M
  • IT Solutions & Services selling experience in the following areas
    • Infrastructure Management Services – Data Center, RIM, DR, Cloud, IT Service Management, IT Service/Help Desk, etc
    • Hyper Automation – RPA & AI, covering platforms like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate & Azure AI, Yellow Messenger
    • Cyber Security & Compliance – SOC Services, VA-PT, etc
    • Staff Augmentation Services
    • OEM License Re-selling
  • Industry Verticals selling experience
    • Healthcare
    • Public Sector – Federal, State
    • BFSI
    • Manufacturing
    • Services
  • Experience in selling & account management in an “offshore supported” pre-sales/delivery context, with onsite travel of pre-sales/delivery teams as per need
  • Experience in selling engagement models like Multi-year Managed Services contracts, Projects in Fixed Price or T&M, BOT model, Offshore/Offsite Development Centers/ COE setups, etc
  • Excellent communication skills (US market context) – articulation of company positioning, value proposition, offerings, differentiators, proposals, etc
  • Should be able to bring in and leverage existing personal networks – customer contacts, partnerships/alliances contacts (Mandatory)
  • Will work from home & travel for business
  • Willingness to travel across the US for business development and India (need-based)
  • Willingness to work in flexible hours for India team meetings/calls (need basis)
  • Career Growth Path – to head company’s overall US & North America business and operations

Roles & Responsibilities

  • “Lone Wolf” Individual Contributor – to start. However once US business scales up, the team management will also kick in
  • New Sales/Hunting – 90% focus
  • Existing Accounts & Alliances Management/Farming – 10% focus
  • Work out Go-To-Market strategies and budgets with leadership team wrt revenues, margins & investments required
  • Generating sales leads – direct field efforts, contacts & connections, through alliances & partnerships, trade shows & events, marketing & social media, leveraging contacts/introductions from others at Netlabs, etc.
  • Qualifying & converting leads to prospects to deals – coordinating with BUs and pre-sales teams
  • Billings & Receivables Management – coordinating with Delivery teams & Finance
  • Manage customer relationships (existing and newly acquired) – grow the account (up-sell & cross-sell)
  • Sales Reporting, Forecasting & Reviews
